
Ingredients
- 1 cup , softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Whisk flour, salt, and baking powder. Add to butter mixture and mix just until combined.
- Chill dough 30 minutes. Roll into 1 inch balls and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Flatten slightly with a fork or glass.
- Bake at 350 F for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are light golden.
- Cool on sheet 2 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
