A great place to live. A great place to work.
Mini-Cassia is an amazing area to live and work where vibrant community life thrives amidst stunning natural beauty. Nestled in the heart of Southern Idaho, our community offers a wealth of outdoor activities for adventure enthusiasts. But it's not just the great outdoors and events that make Mini-Cassia special; it's our warm and welcoming people. You'll find a community filled with friendly faces, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a smile. Throughout the year, we host amazing events that bring our town together. From lively festivals and performing arts to exciting tournaments and races, there's always something happening here. That's why we love supporting local and giving back to our friends. High Desert also has outreach programs across the world to spread the love.
Each year High Desert Milk rewards high school students from around the Mini-Cassia area with scholarships to attend college. The winners are selected by the Board Members of High Desert Milk. In appreciation of the area, and to encourage the young people to go on to college and hopefully return to this area after they have earned a degree, this scholarship program was set up to reward the area youth for academic excellence. Students interested in applying for this scholarship can fill out and enter the application which can be found here between December 15th and March 15th. Applying seniors must be currently attending one of the following high schools: Burley, Declo, Minico, Kimberly, Murtaugh, Hansen, Oakley, Twin Falls.
High Desert Milk puts together an annual Golf Scramble event in the month of August for all our valued Customers and Vendors to attend. This event is a two day event with plant tours and a Meet and Greet the first evening with the Golf Scramble the next morning and lunch afterward. This event is a great way for the High Desert Milk Management and Owners to get a chance to visit and thank all our wonderful supporters. The money raised by this event goes towards the scholarships given to the High Desert Milk Scholarship recipient winners.
School-To-Registered Apprenticeship Program (S.T.R.A.P.) gives high school students an opportunity to gain experience in the workforce, save money for college, and develop a great work ethic. All of which is a jump start to their careers. This is a two-year program. Students will take early morning classes for the first year, followed by a summer internship. Following the internship will be a second round of classes. We offer competitive pay and a great work culture where the leadership team cares about its students and employees.More info
Every year, High Desert Milk donates pallets of our powdered milk in Zimbabwe. As you can see from these photos, the locals love being able to enjoy the flavor and nutrients that it provides - most of them not having tasted a glasss of milk since they were infants. Makes you ask yourself - was I able to enjoy a glass of milk today?
In a unique way of giving back to the community, thanking everyone for their support, and keeping up with the trends, High Desert Milk enjoys doing the occasional giveaway during important times of the year. Have you entered before?
High Desert also supports local High School FCS programs. We donate to each school where our milk is sourced from.
High Desert Milk supports our area 4-H and FFA members and to show our support, we take great pride in attending the Livestock Sales each year and taking part in buying some of the great livestock that the area's younger generation raise. Here is who we have supported recently:
