
Ingredients
- 1 cup , softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup caramel bits or chopped soft caramels
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugars until light. Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix into butter mixture.
- Fold in caramel bits.
- Scoop 1 1/2 inch dough balls and place on baking sheet.
- Bake at 350 F for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on sheet 2 minutes, then transfer to rack.
